Perspectives Lome – Le Togo est un pays singulier, on l’appelait « la petite Suisse », il possède juste 50 kms de côte maritime, de la largeur réelle de ce petit pays coincé entre le Ghana et le Bénin.

Sur la plage principale de Lomé existe une vie intense. Le jour on y vient pour chercher du poisson, on s’y promène, on y fait du sport…La nuit il faut éviter de s’y promener car l’endroit n’est pas sûr.

Au large, on aperçoit de nombreux navires, porte-containers, au mouillage. Ils payent un droit à l’état Togolais, car les côtes des pays voisins sont moins sûres. En effet quoi de mieux que ces lignes d’horizon qui portent ces énormes bateaux et se mêlent aux habitants sur les plages.

Togo is a particular country, it was called “little Switzerland,” it only has 50 km of maritime coast, real width of this small country bounded by Ghana and Benin.

Life is hectic on the main beach of Lome. In the daytime, people come to have fish, take a stroll, exercise … during the night one should avoid to go there because the place is not safe.

Off the coast, we can see many ships, container ships, at anchor. They pay taxes to the Togolese State because the neighboring country coasts are less safe. Theses photographs presented to “Regards sur cours” in Goree in 2015 are an illustration of this.
